Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 3/4 to 1 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Mix first 4 ingredients together. Cut shortening into dry ingredients.
  2. Gradually add milk. Roll about 3/4-inch thick.
  3. Cut with round cookie cutter.
  4. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes.
  5. Makes about 11 to 12 biscuits.
