Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 Tbsp. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Place sugar, water, salt and cream of tartar in saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook 1 minute.
  3. Pour, while beating constantly, over unbeaten egg white.
  4. Beat until frosting holds up in a peak. Add vanilla anytime during beating.
  5. This frosting remains soft.
