- SLICE a 9-in (23 cm) round loaf into 1 in.
- (2.5 cm) slices, cutting almost, but not completely through bread.
- Turn loaf 90 degrees and repeat, creating "fingers".
- SPREAD process cheese between slices of bread (one direction only).
- Sprinkle top with chives.
- WRAP loaf in heavy-duty aluminum foil and bake at 350F (180C) for 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
- SERVE unwrapped and pull fingers starting at edge of loaf, working towards the centre.
