Ingredients

  • 2 big handfuls fresh lemon balm leaves
  • few sprigs lemon verbena or lemongrass
  • 2 qt. water
  • ginger ale or grapefruit-orange juice

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil.
  2. Add the lemon balm leaves and lemon verbena or lemongrass to the boiling water.
  3. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or remove from heat and let steep for 20 minutes.
  4. Cool the herbal infusion and strain out the herbs.
  5. Mix the herbal tea with equal parts ginger ale or grapefruit-orange juice.
  6. Serve over ice.
