Instructions

  1. In a 1-quart saucepan, combine water, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, lemon peel, and salt.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
  3. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.
