Liver "Bait" For Dogs

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. pork liver
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. thyme

Instructions

  1. Put liver and 1/4 cup salt in a pot.
  2. Cover with water and soak for 5 to 10 minutes to remove blood.
  3. Drain and rinse 2 or 3 times.
  4. Place liver in a cooking pot.
  5. Cover with water.
  6. Add olive oil, garlic powder, and thyme.
  7. Bring to a boil and boil for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from the pot and drain.
  9. Freeze or store in refrigerator until needed.
