Marinated Brie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. Brie, cut into 6 slices
  • 1/4 pt. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 10 black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Cook basil, peppercorns and sliced garlic in the oil until it starts to bubble.
  2. (Do not overcook, or the garlic will burn.) Remove from heat; allow to cool.
  3. Place sliced Brie on the bottom of a shallow dish.
  4. Pour the marinade over to cover cheese.
  5. Allow to stand for at least 4 hours before serving.
  6. Arrange 2 or 3 slices of cheese on salad leaves; just before serving, dribble with marinade.
  7. Serves 6.
