Ingredients

  • 1 (28 oz.) can pear halves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 4 peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Drain the pear halves, reserving 1 cup of syrup.
  2. Combine the reserved syrup, cinnamon stick, allspice, and peppercorns in a saucepan.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the spiced syrup over the pears.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
