Mayonnaise Cornbread Muffins

- Grease 12 (2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inch) muffin cups.
- Stir together flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir milk into mayonnaise in another small bowl.
- Stir milk mixture into flour mixture just until moistened.
- (Batter will be lumpy). Turn into prepared pan, filling each cup 2/3 full.
- Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until golden; or bake in greased iron skillet in the oven at 400° for 25-30 minutes.
