Michigan Corn Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. bacon, cut in 3/8 inch strips
  • 1 (16 ounce.) can cream style corn
  • 1 (16 ounce.) can peeled, minced tomatoes (not liquid removed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or possibly to taste
  • 2 c. lowfat milk

Instructions

  1. Cook onion and bacon together, don't drain.
  2. Add in corn, tomatoes and salt.
  3. Simmer about 15 min, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve warm after adding lowfat milk gradually.
  5. Don't allow to stick or possibly scorch.
  6. 4 large servings.
