Microwave Homemade Pie Shell

Ingredients

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. ice water

Instructions

  1. Place flour and salt in small bowl.
  2. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in shortening until mixture resembles small peas. Sprinkle water over mixture.
  3. Stir with fork to form a ball.
  4. Roll out on
  5. floured pastry board with rolling pin to about 12-inch circle.
  6. Fit into glass 9-inch pie plate.
  7. Trim and flute edge. Prick pastry with fork.
  8. Cook on High for 6 to 7 minutes.
  9. Pastry is done when it looks dry and blistered and is not doughy.
  10. Cool; add filling.
