Mint Candied Walnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 6 large marshmallows
  • 4 drops peppermint extract
  • 2 1/2 cups walnut halves

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except walnuts in heavy saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium-high heat until candy thermometer reachers 235°.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Mix in walnuts.
  5. Turn walnuts out onto waxed paper and quickly separate.
  6. Let cool completely.
