Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups mint leaves
  • Crushed ice
  • Bourbon

Instructions

  1. Boil sugar and water together for 5 minutes to make a syrup.
  2. Place mint leaves in a 1-quart container.
  3. Pour the cooled syrup over the mint leaves.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 12 hours and no more than 24 hours.
  5. Cover the container tightly and keep refrigerated.
