Never Fail Donuts

Ingredients

  • 2 c. lukewarm milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. soft shortening
  • 7 to 7 1/2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Mix milk, sugar and salt.
  2. Add yeast.
  3. Stir in eggs and shortening.
  4. Add flour and knead to make soft dough.
  5. Let rise, then on lightly floured board, roll 1/4-inch thick.
  6. Cut out donuts.
  7. Let rise, fry and then glaze.
