Paper Sack Pie

Ingredients

  • apples (enough to fill one unbaked pie shell)
  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice enough apples to fill pie shell.
  2. Mix the following and pour over apples:
  3. flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Mix together sugar, flour and butter and sprinkle this topping over pie.
  4. Place in small paper bag and tie with wire and bake at 400° for 1 hour.
  5. Serve warm with ice cream.
