Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar, syrup and water until syrup is hard when dropped on water (hard crack stage).
  2. While syrup is cooking, beat egg whites until very stiff.
  3. When syrup has reached hard crack stage, pour slowly over egg whites.
  4. Add vanilla, continue beating until very stiff and cool enough to handle.
  5. Form into rolls.
