Ingredients

  • cucumbers
  • vinegar
  • sugar
  • pickling spices

Instructions

  1. Cut cucumbers across in round the thickness desired.
  2. Fill a quart jar with the cucumber slices.
  3. Cover cucumbers with apple vinegar and put a screw-on lid on the jar tight.
  4. Put aside for several or more months.
  5. Pour off the vinegar (the cucumbers will have shrunk to about half volume).
  6. Fill a jar with cucumbers, leaving an inch or so at the top.
  7. Cover the cucumbers with as much sugar as the jar will take.
