Ingredients

  • 3 c. presifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. lard or shortening
  • warm water or milk, about 1 c.

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Cut in shortening as for biscuits.
  3. Add enough water to make a dough easy to handle. Work dough to a very smooth texture.
  4. This is important and means you must knead the dough until it is soft, yet elastic.
