Pink Pears

Instructions
- Place pears cut side down in large skillet.
- Add 1 cup soda pop.
- Cover and simmer until pears are tender 8 to 10 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch and water.
- Stir into liquid in skillet after removing pears and placing one pear in each dessert dish cut side up.
- Cook liquid mixture, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Pour into pear half.
- Pour 1/2 cup remaining pop into Cool Whip.
- Mix to color.
- Top each pear. Serves 8. Makes 65 calories.
