- Grease and flour pan, loaf pan or tube pan.
- Sift flour before measuring.
- Put back in sifter with salt and sugar and sift together.
- Break eggs one at a time.
- Put eggs and flavoring together and beat.
- Beat Crisco and dry mixture.
- Add egg mixture; add eggs and beat well.
- Put in pan and cut through with spatula. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
- Test for doneness.
- Cool.
