Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. almond flavoring
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour pan, loaf pan or tube pan.
  2. Sift flour before measuring.
  3. Put back in sifter with salt and sugar and sift together.
  4. Break eggs one at a time.
  5. Put eggs and flavoring together and beat.
  6. Beat Crisco and dry mixture.
  7. Add egg mixture; add eggs and beat well.
  8. Put in pan and cut through with spatula. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
  9. Test for doneness.
  10. Cool.
