- Cut the angel food cake in half horizontally.
- Make a trench in the bottom half and scoop out some cake to create a cavity.
- Fill the trench with thawed strawberries.
- Combine the scooped out cake pieces, remaining strawberries, and a little Cool Whip in a bowl and mix well.
- Place the top half of the cake back on the filled bottom half.
- Fill the hole of the cake with the strawberry and Cool Whip mixture.
