Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 12 egg whites
  • 4 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Cream together the Crisco, sugar, water and milk for 3 minutes on medium speed.
  2. Beat whites until stiff; fold into batter.
  3. Tint 1/4 batter red.
  4. In 2 (9-inch) or 1 (9 x 13-inch) greased and floured pan, layer white, red and white.
  5. Cut through batter to marble.
  6. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
  7. Ice and decorate as desired.
