Salt-Cornstarch Clay

Ingredients

  • 2 c. salt
  • 1 c. cornstarch
  • food coloring
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1/2 c. cold water

Instructions

  1. Mix salt and water in pan.
  2. Simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is well heated.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add cornstarch and water.
  5. Mix hard.
  6. This will make a thick dough. Add food coloring if desired (or it can be left white and painted later).
  7. Store in plastic bag in refrigerator.
