Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 28 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • oregano

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large pan breaking it up with the spoon.
  2. I use an electric skillet.
  3. Drain away the grease and add the garlic.
  4. Let it cook until you start to smell it and it starts to take on a little color.
  5. Don't let it burn.
  6. Stir often.
  7. Add the tomatoes, the sauce, the paste and the oregano.
  8. Stir well.
  9. Cover and gently simmer for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour +/-.
  10. It can cook for quite some time and be all the better for it.
  11. Serve with your favorite pasta or use in your favorite recipe.
  12. I usually cook up a pound and 1/2 of rigatoni for this sauce.
