Six Minute Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Karo syrup (white)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and cocoa.
  2. Add butter, milk and Karo and bring to full boil.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes.
  4. Cool mixture for 15 minutes.
  5. Add flavoring and beat until creamy.
  6. Add nuts if desired.
  7. Pour onto a buttered platter.
  8. Cut when cold.
