Ingredients

  • 2 lb. strawberries
  • 7 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Slice strawberries in halves lengthwise.
  2. Measure sugar and prepared fruit into a large saucepan, packing fruit into the cup when measuring; mix well.
  3. Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Boil hard for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in pectin.
  6. Stir and skim by turns for 5 minutes to cool slightly and prevent floating fruits.
  7. Pour quickly into clean, sterilized jars.
  8. Cover immediately.
