Ingredients

  • 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • Jalapeno, habanero or both
  • Lime juice
  • Half of a small onion

Instructions

  1. ** Rough Heat Guidelines **
  2. Mild: 1/2 med sized jalapeno
  3. Medium: 1 jalapeno
  4. Med-Hot: 1 jalapeno + 1/2 hab
  5. Hot: 1 jalapeno + 1 hab
  6. I think the habanero gives the salsa a slow-burning sensation which I personally like.
  7. Cut onion and peppers into 3-4 chunks and place in food processor along with cilantro
  8. Lightly pulse for a few seconds
  9. Put tomatoes in bowl along with the onion, cilantro & pepper mixture
  10. Adjust heat with lime - use sparingly if heat is already at desired level
