Swedish Oatmeal Bread

Instructions
- Soften the yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
- Combine oatmeal, molasses, shortening and yeast.
- Add flour to make stiff dough, 1 cup at a time.
- Knead about 10 minutes.
- Let rise in greased bowl until double.
- Punch down and let rise again.
- Divide the dough and let rest 10 minutes.
- Shape into loaves.
- Put into greased pans and grease the top of the loaves.
- Let rise until double, then bake at 350° for 40 minutes; makes 3 loaves.
