Ingredients

  • dressed ducks
  • 1/2 stick butter per duck

Instructions

  1. Brown the dressed ducks in butter.
  2. Remove the ducks and make a water, flour, salt, and pepper gravy from the butter in the pan.
  3. Add wine to the gravy.
  4. Place the ducks in a roaster, breast down.
  5. Cover the ducks with the gravy.
  6. Cover the roaster and cook in a very slow oven at 200°F for at least 4 hours.
  7. Check often and add more water, wine, and seasonings if necessary.
  8. Serve with wild rice.
