Instructions
- Rinse kanten (agar-agar) and soak in 5 cups of water for 5 minutes.
- Cook the kanten mixture until it starts to boil.
- Add sugar and continue cooking for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the 'An' (sweet bean paste), mixing well.
- Continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch container.
- Cool and refrigerate until firm.
- Cut into desired shapes and serve.
