Ingredients

  • 3 gal. cucumbers
  • 2 oz. cinnamon bark
  • 9 lb. sugar
  • 1 oz. celery seed
  • 3 to 4 drops green food coloring
  • alum

Instructions

  1. Wash cucumbers, put in salt brine strong enough to float an egg.
  2. Let stand in this for 6 days; drain.
