Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. warm water
  • 6 c. bread flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients by hand in a large bowl.
  2. Add wet, except for 1 cup water.
  3. Dissolve yeast in water; add to mix.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup vegetable oil over bread and turn bread at once.
  5. Cover dough with a cloth.
  6. Let sit in warm place, 8 to 12 hours.
  7. Punch bread down with fist three times.
  8. Divide into three parts and knead each part 10 to 12 times.
  9. Put each into greased loaf pan. Cover with a cloth and let sit for 8 to 12 hours.
  10. Bake at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes on lowest rack in oven.
