Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 cups fruit
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons tapioca
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients: fruit, sugar, water, lemon juice, tapioca, and salt.
  2. Let the mixture set for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour the filling into an unbaked covered pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle sugar and milk on top of the top crust, if desired.
  5. Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 325°F and bake for an additional 40 to 50 minutes.
