A warm, fragrant holiday drink blending apple cider, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and citrus for a cozy gathering, perfect for festive occasions and warming spirits.

Ingredients

  • 1 gal. apple cider
  • 6 long cinnamon sticks
  • 48 whole cloves
  • 3 tsp. whole allspice
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. orange juice
  • 6 Tbsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring all ingredients to a boil.
  2. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Transfer to a slow cooker and set on medium until ready to serve.
  4. When ready, strain the wassail and pour into a punch bowl.
  5. Serve warm.
