- Combine pie filling mix, gelatin, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture comes to a full boil.
- Add grated lime rind and lime juice to the mixture.

- Fold in 2 1/2 cups of Cool Whip into the chilled mixture.
- Spoon the filling into a prepared crust.
- Freeze for 1 hour or chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
