Ingredients

  • 1 box of cake mix
  • 2 apples (grated, drained)
  • 2 oranges (chopped, drained)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 container of frosting

Instructions

  1. Cook the cake according to the package directions and let it cool.
  2. While the cake is baking, boil water and sugar until they reach the hard ball stage.
  3. Add the grated drained apples and chopped drained oranges into the boiling sugar water mixture.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture over the cooled cake.
  5. Spread your choice of frosting on top of the cake.
