A classic apple pie with a sweet, cinnamon-spiced filling encased in a flaky crust, perfect for comforting desserts or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 cups apple slices
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon oleo

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust for the top and bottom of the pie.
  2. Mix together sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour the sugar mixture over the apple slices and mix gently.
  4. Add lemon juice to the apple mixture and combine.
  5. Put the apple mixture into the prepared crust.
  6. Drop margarine pieces on top of the filling.
  7. Cover with the top crust and slit the top crust for venting.
  8. Bake at 425°F for 50 minutes.
