Sweet and flaky apple twists combine tender apple pieces with cinnamon-sugar crescent dough, making a delightful treat perfect for dessert or snack lovers of all ages.

Ingredients

  • 2 large peeled and cored apples
  • 8 oz. Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup orange juice or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut each apple into eight pieces.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  4. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 16 strips.
  5. Place an apple piece at the wide end of each strip and roll up to enclose the apple.
  6. Arrange the apple twists in a 9-inch square pan.
  7. Drizzle the twists with margarine.
  8. Sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
  9. Drizzle with orange juice or water.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the apples are tender and the dough is golden brown.
  11. Serve warm, plain or with ice cream.
