Baked Custard Cups

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups milk, scalded

Instructions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients, stir until blended.
  2. Slowly add scalded milk, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour into 4 (6 oz) custard cups.
  4. Set cups in 9x9 inch baking pan.
  5. Pour 1 inch hot water into pan.
  6. Bake at 350* for 35 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.
  7. Remove from pan, cool.
  8. Chill.
