Baked Tomatoes(French)

Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 medium size tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. olive or salad oil
  • salt
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped garlic (about 6 large cloves or less)
  • chopped parsley
  • dry bread crumbs
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Core tomatoes.
  2. Cut in half horizontally.
  3. Gently squeeze tomato halves to remove juice and seeds.
  4. Sprinkle the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish lightly with salt.
  5. Place tomatoes, cut side up, in the dish.
  6. Drizzle with oil.
  7. Bake, uncovered, in a 400° oven for 10 minutes.
