Ingredients

  • 36 clams
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup sharp cheese
  • 4 strips lean bacon

Instructions

  1. Shuck the clams and loosen them from the shells.
  2. Leave the clams on the larger half-shells.
  3. Place the shells in a 1 1/2 to 2 inch deep baking pan.
  4. Put about 1/4 teaspoon of ketchup on each clam.
  5. Add a 1/2 inch slice of sharp cheese on top of each clam.
  6. Top with a 1/2 inch slice of lean bacon.
  7. Broil for about 5 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
