- Cut the loaf in half (5 x 4-inch).
- Then cut each half in half (sandwich style).
- Cut each sandwich-style half into 3 (1-inch) wedges that are 5 inches long, resulting in 12 wedges in total.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened oleo or butter with basil leaves, garlic powder, and onion powder; mix well.
- Spread the herb-butter mixture on all cut sides of the bread wedges.
- Arrange the wedges on ungreased cookie sheets, spaced apart.
- Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
