Ingredients

  • 3 to 5 lb. roast
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans beer
  • 1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1/2 cup celery

Instructions

  1. Bake the roast, uncovered, in a 350°F oven for about an hour, turning the roast periodically.
  2. Combine beer, catsup, sugar, chopped onion, celery, and green pepper to make the sauce.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Baste the roast with the sauce occasionally during baking.
