Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
  • 8 large flour tortilla shells
  • 1 c. (no salt) tomato sauce
  • 1 c. taco sauce
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. shredded taco cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown hamburger; add taco seasoning and water.
  2. Let simmer. Heat refried beans and warm tortilla shells.
  3. Mix tomato sauce with taco sauce and spread 3/4 cup of this mix on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Set aside the rest of sauce mixture.
  5. Fill each tortilla shell with 1/3 cup each of cheese, meat mix and beans.
  6. Fold shells burrito-style and line them up in pan.
  7. Top with remaining sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  9. Before serving, spread sour cream on top.
