Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to package directions.
  2. Spoon the batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  3. Bake as directed.
  4. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Slice the cake horizontally to make 3 layers.
  7. Place the bottom layer on a cake plate.
  8. Spread about 1 cup of whipped topping over the layer.
  9. Top with one-third of the cherry pie filling.
  10. Repeat the process on the second and third layers.
  11. Chill before serving.
