Ingredients

  • 3 to 6 c. blackberries
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. margarine

Instructions

  1. Combine berries, juice, water, flavoring, sugar and cinnamon. Bring to boil.
  2. Add cornstarch.
  3. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan, pour dry mix out of box.
  5. Spread evenly. Place sliced margarine over cake mix.
  6. Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.
