- Put eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
- Add enough tap water to cover the eggs about 1 inch.
- Quickly bring water to boiling.
- Boil on medium to high heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Let eggs stand covered in the hot water for 10-15 minutes for large eggs.
- Run cold water over eggs until cooled.
- Gently tap all over to remove shell.
- Roll egg between the hands to loosen shell, then peel, starting at the large end.
- Hold egg under running cold water or dip in bowl of water to help ease off shell.
