Ingredients

  • 2 c. raw peanuts
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Dissolve sugar in water in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add food coloring to the sugar-water mixture.
  4. Add raw peanuts to the mixture and cook, stirring frequently, until all the sauce is gone.
  5. Pour the coated peanuts onto a cookie sheet.
  6. Stir the peanuts every 5 minutes for 30 minutes to prevent sticking and ensure even coating.
