Ingredients

  • 2 qt. water
  • 3 Tbsp. salt (canning salt)
  • 2 1/2 c. vinegar (cider)

Instructions

  1. Bring water, salt, and vinegar to a boil.
  2. Add pickles a few at a time to gently heat.
  3. Put hot pickles into hot jars.
  4. Pour boiling brine over the pickles in the jars.
  5. Place dill and a piece or two of garlic on top of the packed pickles.
  6. Seal the jars.
  7. Let rest about 2 weeks before sampling.
