Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans or English walnuts
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Place sugar, water, and nuts in a 7-inch skillet and begin with high heat.
  2. Stir several minutes until the nuts crystallize.
  3. Turn down heat to low and continue stirring.
  4. Cook until the nuts have a shiny glaze and are caramelized.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Break apart the cooled, caramelized nuts.
